In 2007 Kimi Räikkönen moved to Ferrari and won his very first race for them, while at McLaren rookie Lewis Hamilton was paired with reigning champion Fernando Alonso. Hamilton finished on the podium in each of his first nine races and won four times.
McLaren were excluded from the Constructors’ Championship over the spying scandal involving Ferrari data. Hamilton led going into the final race in Brazil, but Räikkönen won it and became champion one point ahead of both Hamilton and Alonso — 110 to 109.
