Biography
The champion’s brother
Ralf Schumacher, Michael’s younger brother, made his debut in 1997 with Jordan, and in 1998 he finished second behind Damon Hill when the team took its first win. His own first win came in 2001 with the BMW-powered Williams — at the San Marino Grand Prix.
The first one-two for brothers
At the 2001 Canadian Grand Prix the Schumachers became the first brothers in history to take the top two places — Ralf ahead of Michael. In all, Ralf won six races and twice finished the season fourth; he ended his career in 2007 with Toyota.
