Biography
From America to Williams
Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya arrived in Formula 1 as champion of the American CART series and winner of the 2000 Indianapolis 500. In 2001, with Williams, he won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, and in 2003 the Monaco Grand Prix, staying in the title fight until the final rounds.
From Formula 1 to NASCAR
Montoya twice finished third in the championship, in 2002 and 2003, and he won his last race for Williams, the 2004 Brazilian Grand Prix. In mid-2006 he left McLaren for the American NASCAR series, and in 2015 he won the Indianapolis 500 for a second time.
