Biography
The long road to a first win
Nigel Mansell made his debut in 1980 with Lotus, but he only took his first win in 1985 — at the European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch, with Williams. In 1986 he lost the title at the final race of the season in Adelaide, and in 1989–1990 he drove for Ferrari.
1992
In 1992, in the Williams FW14B, Mansell won nine races and became World Champion. In 1993 he moved to the American CART championship and won it in his first season. His Formula 1 record: 187 starts, 31 wins and 32 poles.
