Minardi F1 Team
Giancarlo Minardi took his team from Faenza into Formula 1 in 1985, and in twenty-one seasons it never once made the podium. Its best result was fourth place: Pierluigi Martini finished fourth twice in 1991, and Christian Fittipaldi once in 1993. Martini started more races for Minardi than anyone else.
Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli, Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber all started out at Minardi; Webber finished fifth in his first Grand Prix, in Australia in 2002. In 2005 team owner Paul Stoddart sold the team to Red Bull, and since 2006 it has raced under other names: Toro Rosso, AlphaTauri, RB and now Racing Bulls.
