Pit lane and garages
In our model the pit lane runs along the inside of the main straight, next to the paddock and the tower: the entry is before the last corner and the exit comes before the braking zone for T1. 80 km/h is the usual Formula 1 limit. A circuit that does not exist yet has no team garages either.

On 13 October 2026 Formula 1 announced a 10-year deal with Rwanda: the African Grand Prix from the early 2030s on a new circuit in Bugesera, 40 km south of Kigali, next to the new airport. The circuit is being designed by Alex Wurz's WurzDesign and Tilke, and there is no final layout yet – F1 released a single image of the project. Our scene is a model based on that image, not a copy of it: the centreline is traced from it approximately and the far section is simplified to one loop. The length, corners, heights, terrain, fields, trees and buildings are ours and only indicative; the cone tower and the thatched pavilions are inspired by the image, by agaseke baskets and by the King's Palace in Nyanza. Onboard speed is calculated from the curvature of the track.
